A New Season of Growth..

Today marks the end of a 31 day blog challenge. Bloggers (writers…) from around the world all conspired together for 31 days to create wordsmith masterpieces!  So many different places, voices, subjects and philosophies!  A micro view of a bigger world.  These challenges work because there is diversity and community.  There is learning and teaching.  They also work because they are for a season.  31 days in this case.  It will repeat again later in the year and then against next January.  We are creatures that live in cycles.  We’re conditioned to it from our youth.  Do we ever really get over our love of summer vacations?  Or holiday breaks?

But with every ending, there also comes a beginning.  New friendships, new skills and new knowledge to take with us into the next season.  How wonderful to know that even as we move forward, there are bits and pieces of where we’ve been, what we’ve read and who we’ve met going with us.

At the same time I’ve been writing, my selection of choice for reading was Joel Osteen’s book, I Declare.  I started it a bit later so on day 31 of January, I’m on declaration 13.  Since I’m not a believer in coincidence, it’s no surprise to me that today’s declaraion is about new seasons of growth.  And so I share it with you and my fellow writers during this challenge as we all move on:

“I DECLARE that God is bringing about new seasons of growth.  I will not get stagnant and hold on to the old.  I will be open to change knowing that God has something better in front of me.  New doors of opportunity, new relationships, and new levels of favor are in my future.  This is my declaration.”

And so it will be…

What is ahead
