Right words, right time…

One of the things that I love most about today’s technology is the way that it brings us together.  Each of us has our own lives, our own professions, our own challenges.  There is no doubt that each of us is unique.  And yet, as a community, the sharing of our aspirations and our challenges is powerful.

It brings to mind some of the lessons I have learned over the years using geese as the ultimate example of teamwork.  I still am amazed at the divine engineering involved.  As each goose moves its wings, the uplift that is created is for the birds that follow.

Such faith!  If you are in front of me, you are lifting me up.  If you come behind me, I will lift you up.

To add to the miracle, consider that the formation in which they fly adds 71% more distance to their flying range.  They can go farther because they fly together. Amazing.

I think of the mentors that came before me and how they lifted me.  I think of the entrepreneurs coming behind me, even my own children and grandchildren and love knowing that my work will lift them.

It somehow gives a whole new purpose to activities like blogging and social media.  Because these words are now there forever.  They become a part of our history and you never know when a single post will be the right words at the right time and will be like the wings of the geese and lift someone up.  When we do this in concert as a community and participate in the conversation together, it is like the “V” formation of the geese allowing us all to go higher and farther than we would alone.

Let’s take flight.
